Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Brick Township, NJ
Type: Contract (Remote)
Shift & Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $1,860.00 – $2,000.00 per week (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, budgeting, and treasury-related activities while ensuring compliance with GAAP and organizational financial policies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end reports.

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure the accuracy of financial records.

  • Prepare annual budgets, capital budgets, operating budgets, and upload budget data into the accounting system.

  • Monitor cash activity, maintain cash reconciliations, and support treasury and debt management functions.

  • Manage accounts payable processes, vendor reconciliations, check runs, and vendor master file maintenance.

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors and prepare audit documentation to support financial reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, accounting standards, and internal financial controls while communicating effectively with financial institutions, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.

  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.

  • Experience with treasury, debt management, finance, and accounting functions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and ERP systems.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant accounting experience.

  • Background in Treasury and Debt Management.

  • Previous hospital or healthcare accounting experience.

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financial and/or Lawson ERP systems.
