Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a well-established company located north of Boston. The Senior Accountant will be hands-on in all general ledger accounting and get involved in complex areas within fixed assets, variance analysis, and budgeting.

The Controller is targeting a driven Senior Accountant with GAAP accounting, fixed assets, and intellectual curiosity to join the team. The firm offers a competitive compensation, profit-sharing plan, and comprehensive employee benefits. In-office schedule with flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month end close activities (journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, etc.)
• High-volume fixed-asset accounting (depreciation schedules, purchases, disposals)
• Analyze P&L and expense variances
• Contribute to annual audit procedure
• Ensure accurate US GAAP accounting standards are met
• Play a key role in implementing new ERP system
• Support the Controller with ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of complex GAAP accounting experience
• Intermediate to advanced Excel
• Experience with processes improvements and systems implementations
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
