Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join one of our clients in Carmel, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning the month-end close process, analyzing financial results, and partnering with leadership to drive business success. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports

• Analyze financial statements and investigate variances

• Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts

• Assist with annual audits and provide supporting documentation

• Monitor accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies

• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and internal controls

• Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting

• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred

• Experience with ERP systems is a plus

Pay Details: $36.00 to $40.00 per hour
