    • Properly record, reconcile, and maintain assigned accounting areas, including noncontrolling interests, cash flow rollforwards, consolidations, revenue reporting, general ledger administration, cost center administration, and other assigned accounts and liabilities.

    • Assist with preparing quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K, related disclosures, and supporting workpapers.

    • Assist with preparing state-level carve-out financial statements and other reporting required under applicable state cannabis regulations.

    • Maintain and support accounting master data and related processes, including general ledger accounts, cost centers, change logs, and request tracking.

    • Gather documentation and provide audit-ready support to internal and external auditors for quarterly reviews, year-end audits, and other assurance activities.

    • Research and respond to accounting and financial inquiries by analyzing and interpreting financial data and understanding the underlying business purpose and accounting rationale.

    • Assist with implementing, documenting, and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, reconciliations, and supporting documentation in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company requirements.

    • Support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and applicable company policies and procedures.

    • Identify and participate in process improvements, system enhancements, automation opportunities, and control enhancements involving SAP, Workiva, Microsoft 365, and other financial reporting tools.

    • Proactively communicate status updates, risks, delays, and unresolved issues to stakeholders and management to facilitate timely resolution.

    • Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, training materials, and knowledge-transfer resources to support continuity and scalability across the team.

    • Participate in special projects and prepare ad hoc accounting and financial analyses as requested.

    • At least four years of progressive accounting experience; a mix of public accounting and corporate experience is preferred.

    • Current knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

    • CPA or progress toward CPA licensure is a plus.

    • Experience working with external auditors.

    • Demonstrated success working independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-oriented environment, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

    • Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting software and systems, particularly SAP and Workiva, is preferred.

    • Experience leveraging Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Teams, and Word, to improve productivity, collaboration, documentation, and reporting.

    • Demonstrated ability to proactively communicate with stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and escalate issues in a timely manner.

    • Experience developing, maintaining, and improving process documentation, standard operating procedures, and audit-ready workpapers.

    • Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen controls within accounting and financial reporting processes.

    • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to understand the business purpose and accounting rationale underlying assigned processes.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and with subsidiaries.

    • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and XLOOKUP or comparable functions.

    • Self-starter with the ability to learn new responsibilities quickly and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.

    • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background screening.
