Regal Group CPA is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant – Client Services to support a portfolio of small and mid-sized business clients with full-cycle accounting, sales tax, financial reporting, payroll-related journal entries, and client accounting advisory support.This role is designed for a senior-level accounting professional who has recent CPA firm or public accounting experience and is comfortable managing multiple client relationships, reviewing complex financials, identifying accounting issues, and providing guidance to other team members.The ideal candidate will have strong experience with QuickBooks Online , client accounting services, sales tax filings, payroll-related accounting entries, and financial statement preparation. Experience with income tax preparation is highly preferred, but not required.Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple small and mid-sized business clientsPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsHandle complex client financials, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, cleanup projects, and reporting needsMaintain and review general ledger activity for accuracy, proper classification, and completenessPerform bank, credit card, balance sheet, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliationsPrepare and file sales tax returns for multiple clientsSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesReview financial transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper accounting treatmentPrepare and review payroll-related journal entries and reconciliationsReview payroll-related accounting activity for accuracy and proper postingIdentify issues in client financials and recommend corrections, process improvements, or best practicesMaintain organized financial records and ensure confidentiality of client dataCommunicate directly with clients regarding accounting questions, missing information, deadlines, and reporting needsProvide leadership, guidance, and review support to junior staff or other accounting team membersSupport tax preparation workflow by ensuring client books are accurate, complete, and ready for tax reviewQualifications 5+ years of accounting experience, with recent experience in a CPA firm or public accounting environment requiredExperience managing client accounting engagements for multiple clientsStrong experience preparing and reviewing complex financial statementsStrong QuickBooks Online experience requiredQuickBooks Desktop experience preferredExperience preparing and filing sales tax returnsExperience preparing and reviewing payroll-related journal entries and reconciliationsStrong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practicesKnowledge of S-Corporation and Partnership accountingAbility to identify accounting issues and provide solutions with limited oversightExperience providing guidance, review, or leadership support to junior staffStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot TablesStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlinesBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldPreferred Qualifications CPA, CMA, or Enrolled Agent certificationActively working toward CPA, CMA, or EA certificationExperience with income tax preparationExperience supporting business tax return preparation for S-Corporations and PartnershipsPrior experience in a client accounting services, outsourced accounting, CAS, or business management accounting roleIdeal Background The ideal candidate will come from a CPA firm or have very recent public accounting experience supporting multiple business clients.
