Senior Accountant

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting activities, ensuring accuracy of financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role works closely with leadership to provide financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
