Together, GOLFTEC Enterprises is redefining how golf is taught, practiced, and experienced.We are seeking a highly analytical and technology-driven Senior Accountant to join our team, focused on the GOLFTEC portion of the business. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with advanced Excel automation, AI-powered tools, and a continuous process improvement mindset. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in modernizing financial workflows, automating reporting processes, and improving data visibility across the organization. This position supports the monthly close, financial reporting, operational analytics, and sales & use tax compliance, while building scalable systems that reduce manual effort and sharpen financial insight.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting & CloseEnsure sales transactions are recorded in compliance with US GAAP – complete, accurate, and timelyPrepare and post journal entries for inventory, revenue, expenses, and accrualsReconcile the general ledger to subledgers for inventory and other key balance sheet accountsPrepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliationsAccurately record and manage expenses across the companySales & Use TaxManage multi-state sales and use tax compliance, including timely and accurate filing of returnsResearch nexus requirements and taxability rules across relevant jurisdictionsCoordinate with third-party tax providers and Avalara tax software to ensure proper calculation and remittanceMonitor regulatory changes affecting sales and use tax obligationsRespond to tax notices and support audits related to sales & use taxAI Tools & Process ImprovementLeverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to automate repetitive accounting tasks and enhance reportingIdentify and implement workflow improvements that reduce manual effort and improve data accuracyBuild and maintain scalable Excel models, dashboards, and automated reports to support financial visibilityDocument and refine standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and scalability as the company growsCollaboration & Stakeholder SupportPartner with cross-functional teams and key business stakeholders to deliver accurate, actionable financial informationBuild strong working relationships within the Finance and Accounting team to drive continuous improvementSupport ad hoc projects and analysis as requested by managementRequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)2-3+ years of progressive accounting experience (required)CPA or CPA candidate – a plusTechnical SkillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, automation)Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve accounting workflows and productivityWorking knowledge of sales and use tax compliance across multiple statesExperience with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) or similar ERP – a plusCore CompetenciesExceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership over work qualityAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdaptable and proactive – comfortable building and improving processes in a growing organizationCollaborative, team-first mindsetBenefitsSix company observed holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas DayGOLFTEC observes a Flexible Time Off policy for exempt employeesHealth insurance (company pays 50% of individual & family)401(k) plan available with employer matchDental and vision benefits availableShort-term disability (paid for by employer)Long-term disability availableEmployee pricing on golf lessons and golf merchandiseContinuing education allowance of $500 per year#J-18808-Ljbffr
