Senior Accountant (ERP & Multi-Entity Accounting)

Role: Senior Accountant (ERP & Multi-Entity Accounting)

Duration: 6-12 month contract

Location: Washington, D.C -3 days onsite

Contractor Need

The consultant will help maintain accurate financial data and reliable day-to-day workflows across multiple entities and locations, lots of Accounts payable work, support audit readiness, and provide additional capacity as the organization transitions activities currently managed by an external contractor. There may also be an opportunity to support the organization's transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).

Experience

• Roughly 3 to 8 years of accounting experience
• Open to someone in the mid to Sr. level range
• Experience working with ERP platforms, financial applications, or integrated accounting systems.
• Looking for a strong general accounting foundation, not someone focused exclusively on AP
• Energy industry experience would be helpful

Responsibilities

• Approximately 3-8 years of experience in accounting, financial systems, ERP support, or a related function.
• Strong understanding of general accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, AP, and audit support.
• Experience working with ERP platforms, financial applications, or integrated accounting systems.
• General accounting and day-to-day accounting support
• Journal entries, currently approximately 30 per month
• AP support, particularly given the volume coming through procurement
• Support across multiple entities and locations
• Assist with upcoming audit activities
