12-Month W2 Assignment
Pay Rate: $60–63/hour

Overview: On behalf of our client, a global pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the full lifecycle of Fixed Asset and CAPEX accounting. This long-term assignment is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys partnering cross-functionally to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Fixed Asset Accounting & Reporting Manage end-to-end fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, transfers, impairments, and depreciation Maintain the fixed asset subledger and ensure alignment with the general ledger Perform monthly close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, roll-forwards, and variance analysis Review and validate asset classifications in accordance with US GAAP and company policy Support internal and external audits related to fixed assets CAPEX Accounting & Project Support Partner with project managers to monitor capital project spend and ensure proper capitalization vs. expense treatment Manage Asset Under Construction (AUC) balances and drive timely project closures Assist in forecasting depreciation and CAPEX impacts for FP&A and business partners Ensure compliance with capitalization policies and support process improvements OPEX PO & Accrual Analysis Perform monthly OPEX purchase order reviews to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and budget alignment Prepare and analyze OPEX accruals to ensure accurate period-end expense recognition Partner with budget owners to investigate and explain variances Monitor open POs and receipts to validate expense timing and identify cleanup opportunities Support monthly OPEX reporting with variance commentary for FP&A and business partners Strengthen controls and improve processes related to operating expenses Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement Maintain strong internal controls over fixed asset and CAPEX processes Support SOX documentation, testing, and remediation efforts Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve reporting and data integrity Contribute to ERP or system enhancement initiatives impacting fixed asset accounting Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in fixed assets and/or CAPEX Strong understanding of US GAAP, including capitalization and depreciation Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large data sets Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite Preferred: CPA or CPA-eligible Experience in biotech, pharma, manufacturing, or other capital-intensive industries Familiarity with SOX controls and audit processes Experience with project accounting or fixed asset subledger systems Please submit your resume in Word or PDF format to be considered.
