Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• 
  
• Manage lease accounting for 50+ restaurant and hospitality locations, including maintaining lease schedules, preparing monthly journal entries, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• 
  
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet and lease-related reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.
• 
  
• Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, general ledger reviews, and account analysis.
• 
  
• Review financial activity across multiple locations, investigate inconsistencies, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• 
  
• Assist with multi-location and franchise accounting, including intercompany activity, allocations, and location-level reconciliations, as applicable.
• 
  
• Review historical accounting records, identify errors or gaps, and implement improvements to strengthen financial accuracy and internal processes.
• 
  
• Partner with the CFO and accounting leadership to resolve complex accounting issues, improve workflows, and support ongoing accounting initiatives.

Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 
  
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at the Senior Accountant or Accounting Consultant level.
• 
  
• Restaurant, hospitality, food and beverage, or other multi-location industry experience strongly preferred.
• 
  
• Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month-end close.
