Job Description
Senior AccountantSenior Accountant Responsibilities:-
Execute assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
- Maintain balance sheet and prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reclassi?cations, and other adjustments in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Support monthly ?nancial statement preparation and management reporting, including income statement and balance sheet variance analysis
- Support revenue recognition, WIP, project accruals, cost allocation, and gross margin analysis
- Support inventory accounting, including reconciliations, valuation, adjustments, reserves, and analysis of slow-moving or obsolete inventory
- Manage sales and use tax compliance
- Support payroll accounting activities
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Senior Accountant Quali?cations:- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5+ years of experience in month-end close, general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and ?nancial reporting
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing, building products, construction services, or other project-based operating environments
- Demonstrated experience with project/job costing, WIP accounting, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and gross margin analysis
- Demonstrated knowledge of multi-state sales and use tax compliance
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups
