This role will help with key accounting functions including external audit support, monthly close, cost analysis, and financial reporting. Our firm is seeking a Permanent Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Accounting + Finance industry. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with month-end closing procedures and ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
2. Preparing accurate monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
3. Overseeing manufacturing accounting processes, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
4. Ensuring all financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
5. Assisting in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
6. Performing other related duties as necessary or assigned, including financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
7. Collaborating with other team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Senior Accountant position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in assisting with month-end closings and preparing monthly financial reports.
4. A strong understanding of manufacturing accounting processes and principles.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.
6. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
7. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues.
9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
