Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant has a broad base of duties; responsible for general accounting, journal entries, fixed asset reporting, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a broad base of accounting knowledge, enjoy variety & learning and have strong communication skills.RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare month-end journal entries and month-end / annual close proceduresPerform monthly account reconciliations, bank & balance sheet accountsAccounting for fixed asset capitalizationRecord & report on company fixed assets and depreciation recordsProvide analysis & assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processesPart of team for new ERP systemAssist with the development and on-going maintenance of dashboard reporting, flash reports, KPIs, financial metrics and ratios and other relevant reportingCompile, review, and complete periodic state sales and use tax reports and paymentsWork with Controller in various special projectsReview processes involving but not limited to: internal procedures and controls, reporting through use of new ERP system and other tools, and other areas as needed to drive efficiencies and improvementsAssist with external auditProvide ideas / insights to improve processes / proceduresREQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting / Finance2-5 years of general Accounting experience.Knowledge of ERP systems (within manufacturing or distribution is a plus)Attention to detail as well as analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Works effectively and independently in a dynamic, fast paced, team environment and adapts to change.Ability to adapt to change and learn new processes#J-18808-Ljbffr
