    Description

    Cox Consulting Network has been exclusively retained by a fast-growing manufacturer in the Anaheim/Orange County area to find a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant. This is a 100% onsite role, perfect for a professional who thrives in a collaborative, high-energy manufacturing environment.

    In this critical role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for the manufacturing site. You’ll be the backbone of the month-end and year-end close processes, collaborating across departments to provide the financial insights that drive the business forward.  You’ll partner with the Plant Manager to improve processes and productivity and will be a key member of the plant management team.

    What You’ll Do

    • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, key templates, and weekly sales reporting analysis.
    • The Close Process: Manage GL entries, ICO accruals, and timely reconciliations for all balance sheet and key income statement accounts.
    • Operations & Inventory: Partner with operations to resolve inventory issues and lead year-end inventory counts and adjustments.
    • Asset Management: Oversee Fixed Assets and Intangible Assets, ensuring accurate recording, depreciation, and CIP tracking.
    • Budgeting & Analysis: Assist the Controller with forecasts and budgets while reviewing GLs for appropriateness and managing third-party rebate calculations.
    • Banking & Tax: Review weekly payables/ACH activity and flag important tax communications for the leadership team.


    Requirements

    • Experience: 3–5 years of accounting experience (Senior Accountant or similar role preferred).
    • Education: BA in Accounting or a related field.
    • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (specifically pivot tables) and accounting software.
    • Manufacturing Experience:  cost accounting & understanding of manufacturing accounting & inventory required
    • QuickBooks experience is a plus!
    • Communication: Strong financial acumen with the ability to explain the "why" behind the numbers to various stakeholders.
    • Mindset: Ability to work independently, high attention to detail, and a collaborative team spirit.
