    Description

    SUMMARY:

    The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing complex accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance with GAAP and internal controls. This role plays a key part in month-end close, financial analysis, and process improvement.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Lead and execute month-end and year-end close processes
    • Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations
    • Ensure accuracy of financial statements and supporting schedules
    • Analyze variances and provide explanations to management
    • Support internal and external audits; act as primary audit contact for assigned areas
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls
    • Assist with system implementations and process improvements
    • Mentor and review work of junior accounting staff as needed

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred)
    • 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
    • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems required
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

    Pay Range:  $80,000.00 - $90,000.00
