This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end close, analyzing financial performance, and assisting with budgeting and audit activities.

OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Reconcile equipment inventory and related general ledger accounts.
• 
  
• Assist with reconciliation of parts inventory accounts.
• 
  
• Review equipment purchase orders, machine estimates, and inventory receipts.
• 
  
• Analyze divisional financial statements and equipment profitability.
• 
  
• Prepare and review journal entries during the month-end close process.
• 
  
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• 
  
• Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• 
  
• Support year-end financial audits by preparing schedules and compiling audit documentation.
• 
  
• Create ad hoc financial reports and perform data analysis for leadership.
• 
  
• Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed.
• 
  
• Perform additional accounting and financial analysis projects as assigned.
• 
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 
  
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
• 
  
• CPA designation is a plus.
• 
  
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
• 
  
• Experience using Power BI is preferred.
• 
  
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• 
  
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• 
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
