Senior Staff Accountant Responsibilities

• 
  
• The Sr Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• 
  
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• 
  
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
• 
  
• Support accounts payable activities, including invoice review, vendor payments, and maintaining supporting documentation.
• 
  
• The Sr Staff Accountant will partner with Operations and Supply Chain to analyze financial results and improve business performance.
• 
  
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting requested documentation.
• 
  
• The Sr Staff Accountant will identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls.

Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Staff Accountant Role

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 
  
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing or consumer products.
• 
  
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• 
  
• Cost accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• 
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central is a plus).
• 
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
