Senior Accountant$90,000 - $108,000 per year | San Diego, CA | On-Site | PermanentOverviewWe partner with a growing, entrepreneurial financial services and payment solutions organization seeking a Senior Accountant or experienced Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a highly visible role offering broad exposure across general accounting, month‑end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory accounting, and operational finance.BenefitsStrong company culture.Competitive compensation package.Comprehensive employer‑paid benefits package.Professional development and growth opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day‑to‑day general ledger accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit card accounts, merchant processing accounts, and balance sheet accounts.Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance.Maintain and reconcile inventory balances, cost tracking, and inventory‑related transactions.Support revenue recognition and reconciliation activities associated with transaction processing and merchant services operations.Review and reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash activity.Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for audits, tax filings, and external reporting requirements.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects.Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP principles.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3+ years of accounting experience for Staff Accountant consideration; 5+ years preferred for Senior Accountant level.Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.Experience managing general ledger activity and month‑end close processes.Experience with inventory accounting preferred.Proficiency with QuickBooks Online required.Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial reporting.Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
