Key Responsibilities
- Perform key month-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Review supplier invoices, purchase orders, accounts payable, intercompany activity, cost of sales, and other GL transactions.

- Support purchase-order matching and resolve exceptions.
- Prepare accounts payable and vendor-related reconciliations.
- Support vendor onboarding and vendor master maintenance.
- Prepare payment-batch documentation and related support.
- Review employee expense accounting.
- Support fixed assets and capitalized costs, including software development capitalization.
- Prepare payroll journal entries and clearing-account reconciliations.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and errors.

- Prepare workpapers and supporting schedules for annual audits.
- Ensure compliance with established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Partner with Finance and other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve transaction processing.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Play an active role in the implementation and enhancement of ERP and financial systems.
- Support the migration from IFS to NetSuite, including data validation, testing, cutover, and post-go-live activities.
- Help streamline and improve procure-to-pay processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate reconciliations, reporting, and other accounting processes.
- Maintain accounting procedures and process documentation.
- Assist with transactional data cleanup and system-related accounting issues.
- Identify recurring accounting issues and develop practical solutions.
Financial Analysis & Cross-Functional Support
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
- Provide accounting support for external audits and compliance requirements.
- Work directly with other departments on accounting-related projects and questions.
- Serve as an accounting resource for purchase-order and supplier-invoice matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Strong working knowledge of NetSuite is required.
- Experience with month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger accounting.
- Procure-to-pay or accounts payable accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Experience within a software or SaaS organization preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, complex formulas, and data analysis.
- Power BI or other data visualization experience is a plus.
- Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Proactive approach with the ability to identify issues and drive them toward resolution.
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is beyond basic transactional accounting and can take meaningful ownership of the general ledger and month-end close.
The strongest candidate will bring a combination of GL accounting, P2P/AP, reconciliations, financial analysis, and NetSuite expertise. Experience participating in an ERP implementation or migration would be particularly valuable.
This person should be comfortable digging into accounting issues, improving inefficient processes, and working cross-functionally rather than simply processing transactions handed to them.
