Senior Accountant
A successful and growing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative accounting team. This position will play a key role in the monthly close, financial reporting, account analysis, and continued improvement of accounting processes.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities
- Take ownership of key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting
- The Senior Accountant will research and explain budget-to-actual and period-over-period variances
- Maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other accounts
- Support annual audits and provide documentation requested by external auditors
- Help strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies
- Partner with operational leaders to resolve accounting questions and improve financial visibility
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, and increase efficiency
Senior Accountant Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5 + years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with ASC 606 & 842 preferred, not required
- Strong understanding of GAAP and the full accounting cycle
- Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with an ERP or other accounting system
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
