Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Hybrid - 4days in office$80k-$100k Temp-to-Hire We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join a growing accounting team and provide critical support during the month-end close process. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work independently, and is comfortable taking ownership of key accounting functions from day one.The ideal candidate will bring a strong corporate accounting background, a solid understanding of GAAP, and hands-on experience with complex reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and lease accounting.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and record month-end journal entries and accruals, including:

  • Accounts Payable accruals

  • Legal accruals

  • Bonus accruals

  • Expense accruals

• Manage prepaid schedules and monthly amortization entries

• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and CIP accounting

• Perform ASC 842 lease accounting, including lease reconciliations and monthly entries

• Support intercompany and elimination entries as needed

• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations

• Analyze account activity and investigate variances

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities

• Support audit requests and provide accounting documentation as required

• Identify process improvements and assist with special projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Senior Accountant-level experience required

• Strong month-end close experience

• Corporate accounting experience strongly preferred

• Advanced knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Advanced Excel skills preferred IND4
