Senior Accountant, General Ledger

Location: Vernon, CA | Hybrid, three days onsite per week

Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 base + 5% bonus eligibility

Alliance Resource Group is partnering with a growing consumer business seeking a Senior Accountant who wants meaningful ownership, direct audit exposure and the opportunity to help improve accounting processes.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes responsibility for their work, investigates discrepancies and follows issues through resolution. You will own multiple accounting areas and work closely with an experienced accounting leadership team.

What you’ll do

• 
  Own assigned monthly, quarterly and annual close activities.
  
• 
  Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, roll-forwards and variance analyses.
  
• 
  Support accounting for revenue, leases, accruals, prepaid expenses and fixed assets.
  
• 
  Prepare audit-ready workpapers and work directly with external auditors.
  
• 
  Investigate unusual transactions, reconciling items and discrepancies.
  
• 
  Use NetSuite to research GL activity, run reports and analyze transaction-level data.
  
• 
  Partner with other departments to obtain information and resolve accounting issues.
  
• 
  Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency, documentation and controls.
  

What we’re looking for

• 
  Approximately 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
  
• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  
• 
  In-house ownership of multiple close areas, including personal preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.
  
• 
  Consumer products or e-commerce experience required; apparel and accessories experience is especially relevant.
  
• 
  Hands-on NetSuite experience required.
  
• 
  Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
  
• 
  Strong analytical ability and clear communication.
  
• 
  CPA or progress toward the CPA preferred.
  

Public-company, multi-entity, multi-currency or multi-channel experience would be an advantage.
