Senior Accountant

Windsor CT area manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Accountant. This position is fully in-office.

• Support the Controller in managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Coordinate annual audits by preparing financial statements, audit schedules, and supporting documentation for external auditors.
• Maintain fixed asset records, calculate depreciation, and oversee related accounting and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting efficiency.
• Leverage SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas, to support financial analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, reconciliation, and organizational skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
