Senior Accounting Manager

These contributions will bring safe and clean water to thousands of the world's neediest children in the coming year.Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accounting Manager to join our team. This key role is essential in managing accuracy and timeliness of the daily accounting activities of the company. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled and detail-oriented and have extensive experience in managing accounting functions, financial reporting, and team leadership. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional organizational abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations. As the Sr. Accounting Manager, you will oversee a Sr. Accountant, Billing Manager, and Accounts Payable Specialist, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner. You will be responsible for aiding in the development and maintenance of financial policies, procedures, and technologies that will enable the company to scale, while also collaborating with senior management to provide insights into the firm's financial performance. In addition, you will play a pivotal role in budgeting and forecasting processes, helping guide the strategic direction of the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who thrives in a growth company environment to contribute significantly to a dynamic team and make a lasting impact.Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure financial transactions are recorded accuratelyManage the monthly close process, including maintaining a close calendar and detailed task listPrepare and present monthly financial statements and reports to senior management, including debt covenant reporting to our credit partnerProactively develop, implement, and improve accounting policies, procedures, technologies, and controls to enhance operational efficiencyAid in management of ERP platform, accounts payable system, and accounting-related software integrationsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements for state tax filingsPartner with the Controller to coordinate and manage annual audits, ensuring timely completion and communication with auditorsManage annual 1099 filingsSupervise and mentor a team of accountants, fostering professional development and teamworkIdentify and lead process improvement and automation projectsJob Requirements and Qualifications BS / MS in accounting or related fieldActive CPA license required2-3 years' experience in management of an accounting teamPublic accounting experience preferredStrong leadership, communication, and customer service skillsExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking skillsExceptional organizational and time management skillsAbility to prioritize effectively and meet deadlinesProficiency in Excel/WordOffice-based / HybridMay require occasional travel for recruiting events or training sessions.Join Weathermatic as Sr. Accounting Manager and become a key contributor to our mission of promoting sustainability through innovative water management solutions.
