Senior Accounting Supervisor

Our client is looking for a Senior Accounting Supervisor to join their team!

Location: On-site in Silver City, NM. Relocation assistance available!

Pay: $90,000 - $120,000

Here is what you will be doing:

• Supervise, coordinate, and oversee assigned accounting activities and staff to support accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations.
• Complete assigned month-end and accounting close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, research, analysis, and resolution of variances and reconciling items.
• Analyze financial and operational data and communicate results, trends, and recommendations effectively to management and site finance personnel.
• Collaborate with site finance and cross-functional teams to support financial reporting, planning, and operational objectives.
• Review accounting processes and recommend practical improvements that increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and address changes in requirements.
• Provide guidance and resolve day-to-day questions related to accounting methods, procedures, systems, and processes.
• Support budget preparation, monitoring, and administration.
• Ensure adherence to applicable company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Here is what our ideal candidate has:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
• 5+ years of related accounting experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Associate degree or high school diploma accepted with 7-9+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques, accounting principles, and financial processes.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze information, investigate issues, resolve problems, and implement process improvements.
• Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring, and administration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with management and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to identify risks, follow established procedures, and maintain compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
