We are seeking a highly experienced Administrative Engineer to provide specialized technical and engineering support for the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) program at Assault Craft Unit FIVE (ACU-5). This role is critical to maintaining the operational readiness of the Navy's premier amphibious landing craft fleet.
The ideal candidate is a former LCAC Craft Master or Craft Engineer with extensive knowledge of military maintenance procedures and administrative policies. This position involves managing the technical publications library, conducting complex craft material inspections, and providing expert consultation on maintenance packages.
This is a non-personal services contract position. The contractor employee reports directly to the Prime Contractor for all human resources and administrative matters, while receiving work direction and prioritization from ACU-5 Maintenance and Repair Officers.

Education:Â High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:Â Minimum five years of experience with military administrative policies and procedures related to operations and maintenance on LCACs. Minimum two years of experience as an LCAC Craft Master or LCAC Craft Engineer.
Technical Skills:Â Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Access and Excel, for database management and library updates.
Citizenship:Â U.S. Citizenship is required.
Security:Â Must possess an Active SECRET Security Clearance, verifiable in DISS/JPAS.
Language:Â Fluent in written and verbal English.
Knowledge:Â Deep understanding of LCAC systems, Navy maintenance procedures, and military chain of command.
Interpersonal:Â Ability to work effectively with military personnel, government civilians, and contractors. Exceptional communication skills for advising senior officers.
Judgment:Â Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently to accomplish goals without direct supervision.
Hours:Â 0700 to 1530, Monday through Friday (40 hours per week) with an unpaid lunch from 1100 to 1130.
Location:Â ACU-5 Compound, Donald Cook Road Bldg. 31916, Camp Pendleton, CA.
Federal Holidays Off:Â All federally recognized holidays, including New Year's Day, Martin L. King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Additional closures may occur due to local or national emergencies and Government-directed facility closings.
The employee must possess and maintain an active SECRET security clearance to transit controlled access spaces and access classified documents. The contractor is responsible for safeguarding all government equipment, information, and property provided for use. Must wear government-issued identification badge at all times while on site.
