Senior Analyst, FP&A

CBIZ Talent Solutions is seeking a Senior Analyst, FP&A to join our construction industry client’s finance team. This highly visible role will analyze financial and operational performance, translate data into actionable insights, and partner with leaders across the organization to support informed business decisions and drive financial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Accounting on the monthly close process and perform detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior-year results to identify key business drivers and trends.
• Collaborate with department leaders and P&L owners to review financial performance, communicate meaningful insights, and connect operational decisions to financial outcomes.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts and models, incorporating current business activity, operational trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive the annual budgeting process and help develop a meaningful operating plan aligned with the company’s financial and strategic objectives.
• Partner with the Business Intelligence team to analyze operational data, while identifying opportunities to improve reporting, automation, internal controls, and overall process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business discipline, with 3–5 years of relevant financial analysis/FP&A experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual-basis accounting, including the ability to understand financial statements and performance drivers.
• Demonstrated strength in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with Power BI or another data visualization/reporting platform.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively partner across functions; experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP/accounting systems, banking platforms, AP/expense systems, and payroll systems is preferred.

Salary range: $90-$100k
