The Senior Application Engineer II serves as a senior technical authority responsible for advancing the growth and strategic direction of the Critical Process Solutions business through the development, validation, and implementation of filtration solutions for customer applications. The position works directly with customers to understand critical process requirements, identify unmet needs, resolve challenging application issues, and translate customer and market insights into product, technology, and application-development priorities.
The Senior Application Engineer II provides technical leadership across multiple customer-specific and application-development projects. Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams, the incumbent defines application needs, helps establish technical approaches, and facilitates the development of effective solutions. Drawing on broad expertise in materials, products, processes, and applications, the incumbent influences technical decisions, optimizes solutions, evaluates competitive technologies, supports product development and commercialization, and generates new application knowledge.
The Senior Application Engineer II collaborates with Product Management, R&D, Product Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and commercial teams and serves as a key technical interface with customers, suppliers, distributors, and external collaborators. The position mentors junior engineers, strengthens organizational capabilities, and develops technical content and application guidance that enables customers and internal teams to apply filtration technologies effectively.
The filtration portfolio spans a range of high-impact markets, including medical devices, biopharmaceuticals, cell and gene therapy, diagnostics, and semiconductor manufacturing.

Benefits in joining us
Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,00 to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,260 to $178,540. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
