Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP (WRA) is seeking talented and motivated architects to help expand our growing design studio. We are seeking an experienced architect with a strong background in industrial facility design to join our growing architecture team in Baltimore, MD. This position will lead and contribute to the design of a wide range of industrial projects including water/wastewater treatment plants, maintenance and operations facilities, laboratories, and other utility and infrastructure-related buildings.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced architect to take on a leadership role in the planning, design, and delivery of projects to support our clients growing infrastructure demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support architectural design on industrial projects from concept through construction.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to develop integrated design solutions to meet the technical requirements of industrial facilities.
  • Prepare architectural drawings, specifications, cost estimates and construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Perform site visits and construction administration tasks.
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines and subconsultants to ensure quality and timely project delivery.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to project team development.
  • Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Accredited professional degree in architecture (Bachelor or Master of Architecture)
  • Active architectural license
  • 16+ years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on industrial or infrastructure-related projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, accessibility standards, and construction practices and detailing.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with sustainable design and LEED principles is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary team settings.
  • US citizenship required.

The expected compensation range for this position is $160,000.00 - $240,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
