We are seeking an Associate Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist to join our Nucleic Acid Therapeutics group, supporting drug discovery and technology development in the field of oligonucleotide therapeutics such as siRNAs and antisense oligonucleotides. In this role, you will develop assays and execute high-throughput screenings of hundreds to thousands of candidate molecules, while collaborating with your team to advance oligonucleotide therapeutic programs.

Discover your role:

  • Develop assays to enable high-throughput oligonucleotide library screenings
  • Execute high-throughput screening of hundreds to thousands of candidate molecules
  • Perform cell culture optimization, bDNA, RT-qPCR, cell line generation, and transfection optimization
  • Design probes and conduct compatibility tests, along with western blot analysis
  • Work with automated or semi-automated processes, including liquid handlers and instruments such as KingFisher and QuantStudio
  • Independently execute and refine techniques and technologies with general guidance
  • Multi-task and shift priorities based on communicated department needs
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, staying detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn new techniques

This role requires:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of industrial experience in a relevant field highly appreciated
  • Ability to independently execute and refine techniques with general guidance, multi-tasking across shifting priorities
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team
  • Preferred: experience with automated/semi-automated liquid handlers, KingFisher, and QuantStudio
  • Preferred: knowledge of oligonucleotide chemistry and RNA biology
