Job Description
Role Overview:
- Lead financial statement audits by understanding client operations, processes, objectives, and risks to enhance audit quality.
- Collaborate with clients and engagement teams using modern audit technology to drive efficient, high-quality audit execution.
- Grow through mentorship, training, and team-based collaboration while delivering excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and complete audits while managing scope, timelines, and budgets, serving as in-charge when needed.
- Supervise and train associates and interns, provide regular feedback, and support performance assessments.
- Communicate clearly with clients about expectations and relevant accounting, financial, and regulatory developments.
- Design audit procedures leveraging audit technology and innovation tools; research accounting and auditing matters and document conclusions.
- Work flexibly at client sites, in-office, or remotely while maintaining strong coordination and documentation.
- Build and strengthen client relationships and represent the firm at recruiting and professional networking events.
- Participate in formal training programs to enhance technical and professional skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned while upholding professional standards and confidentiality.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum two years of progressive public accounting experience with in-charge auditing responsibilities.
- CPA certification or eligibility meeting the state's education requirements.
- Proficiency in US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards, with strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities.
- Ability to travel up to 25 percent as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supervising teams and providing on-the-job coaching.
- Exposure to audit automation and digitization tools in professional services.
