OVERVIEWATLAS CPAs & Advisors PLLC is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Audit Associate to join our growing audit team. This role works closely with Partners, Directors, Managers, and clients to support audit engagements, preparing and reviewing workpapers, evaluating internal controls, and working directly with clients and engagement teams throughout the audit process.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with audit engagement execution, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases;Review and test internal controls in compliance with federal regulations and industry standards;Analyze financial and operational processes to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance;Prepare and index audit working papers and documentation in accordance with professional standards;Support fieldwork activities, which may be conducted at client locations;Maintain effective communication with clients and respond to their audit-related inquiries;Ensure proper file management practices while upholding client confidentiality;Collaborate with team members and provide support across audit projects as needed;Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESDetail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills;Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written;Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and customer service;Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;Proficient in using audit and accounting software such as CCH;Familiarity with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS);Strong commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality;Service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving;EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required;CPA license or CPA eligibility preferred;3–5 years of relevant experience in auditing, preferably within a public accounting firm;COMPENSATION & BENEFITS$85,000 - 100,000 per year.
