If you are focused on results, dedicated to quality, strength and integrity, and possess the drive to succeed, then we are your employer of choice.At Regions, the Senior Auditor conducts internal audit activities in accordance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelops initial audit program to meet the audit engagement objectives with some supervisionPlans the nature, timing, and extent of engagement proceduresDevelops project timeline to ensure alignment with internal audit annual planReviews work performed by audit team to ensure documentation is in accordance with the internal audit methodologyEnsures all audit conclusions are fully supported in work papersCoaches internal audit staff throughout the audit engagement to ensure the audit objectives are metDrafts audit issues using established criteria in the internal audit methodologyEnsures that all audit issues are developed accurately and objectively and reflect the audit work performedDiscusses audit findings and their impacts professionally and confidentially with various levels of the organization as directed by audit managementFollows-up on management remediation actions as directed by supervisorIdentifies process improvements for the business based on understanding and analysis of process flows/operationsThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk, or related fieldThree (3) years of experience in internal audit, external audit, banking, or risk management/compliancePreferencesProfessional certification or progression towards one, preferably one of the following:Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)Certified Bank Auditor (CBA)Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS)Certified Financial Systems Auditor (CFSA)Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)CRPSkills and CompetenciesAbility to learn additional systems as neededAbility to listen actively and ask questions as necessary to validate understandingAbility to research, analyze data, and derive factsAbility to supervise and manage a teamAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesEffective time managementProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skillsStrong work ethic and self-motivationCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions.
