Overview CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior Auditor to assist district legal staff by conducting medical claims data analysis, forensic investigations, financial damages, statistical sampling, and ability-to-pay analyses that support determinations regarding investigations, prosecutions, settlements, and recovery in these matters, which can be voluminous and complex.Compensation Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yrEmployment type Full-Time, Mid-levelResponsibilities Analyze complex personal and business financial records to identify payments and kickbacks, trace money flows, identify assets, sources and uses of cash, and quantify damagesAnalyze and calculate ability-to-pay settlements and judgments, including analyzing debt covenants, borrowing capacity, adjusted earnings and earnings per share, financial ratios, accounts receivable and accounts payable, aging schedules, tax considerations, assessing collectability, and developing payment terms and schedulesIdentify, quantify, and understand related party transactionsAnalyze healthcare claims and other dataCreate financial damage models for use in litigationConduct asset valuationConduct records reconstructionDevelop computerized models to assist in the presentation of financial evidenceReport on financial data and evidenceCommunicate findings to attorneys and investigatorsReview defense presentations, expert reports, and argumentsWork with independent expertsPrepare expert reports for litigationParticipate in negotiations as requestedTestify as requiredPerform training and give presentations on data analysis tools and experienceQualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in forensic financial accounting, litigation consulting, and/or health care fraud analysisThe resume must demonstrate experience that illustrates a clear understanding of the rules of evidence and civil procedures, the admissibility and inadmissibility of evidence, the elements of the violation(s) under investigation, and other applicable policies required to support criminal and civil investigationsPreferred qualifications Experience preparing expert reports and other trial preparation preferred.
