Job Description

• Lead design, development, and deployment of advanced automation and controls systems for manufacturing operations.

• Serve as a technical expert in PLC architecture, HMI, motion control, robotics, industrial networks, and machine safety.

• Lead automation capital projects from concept and technical specifications through commissioning and production stabilization.

• Develop PLC programming standards, controls architecture, hardware specifications, and system validation strategies.

• Lead industrial robot integration, programming, tooling requirements, cell optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Coordinate with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, IT/OT, Supply Chain, and automation suppliers.

• Lead RFQs, supplier evaluations, technical bid reviews, FAT, SAT, and equipment acceptance.

• Drive IIoT, machine monitoring, data collection, remote diagnostics, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

• Support equipment installation, startup, debugging, safety validation, commissioning, and production ramp-up.

• Improve OEE, throughput, downtime, labor efficiency, and production yield.

• Mentor engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years in manufacturing automation, controls engineering, robotics integration, or industrial equipment development.

• Advanced PLC programming and controls architecture experience.

• Strong experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms.

• Industrial robotics programming and integration experience.

• Experience with machine safety and manufacturing system integration.

• Experience leading automation capital projects from concept through production implementation.

• Experience with high-volume or complex manufacturing environments.

• Experience managing automation suppliers, system integrators, and equipment builders.
