We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology organization seeking a Senior Azure AI Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade cloud and AI solutions within a commercial insurance environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer with strong expertise in Azure AI services, C#/.NET development, and cloud infrastructure who enjoys building scalable, production-grade systems.

About the Role

You will design, build, and deploy cloud-native applications and AI-driven solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance systems in a regulated enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using C# and .NET

• Build and integrate solutions using Azure AI services including Azure OpenAI and related services

• Develop scalable cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure

• Design and manage RESTful APIs and microservices architectures

• Implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure-as-Code tools

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver production-ready systems

• Ensure performance, security, and reliability of applications deployed in Azure

• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for software quality

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience

• 7+ years of experience working in the Commercial Insurance domain

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI or similar)

  • C# and .NET

  • API design and backend development

  • Microsoft Azure cloud services

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Bicep, ARM, or Terraform

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Ability to work onsite in Hartford, CT

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in agile environments or scaled agile frameworks

• Experience with Angular or modern frontend frameworks

• Experience with SQL or relational databases

• Property & Casualty insurance experience is a plus
