Our client, a well-established national professional services organization, is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to join its Revenue Management team. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a highly collaborative environment supporting sophisticated billing operations, complex client arrangements, and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced professional services setting.
Position Overview
The Senior Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing complex billing portfolios, supporting internal stakeholders, generating client invoices, resolving billing inquiries, and ensuring accuracy throughout the billing cycle.
This role requires an individual who can operate independently, manage competing priorities, and provide exceptional service while working within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a high volume of complex client invoices
Review, edit, and process pre-bills
Research and resolve billing-related questions
Partner with internal stakeholders regarding billing requirements
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness
Support special projects and ad hoc reporting initiatives
Navigate sophisticated billing structures and fee arrangements
Maintain strong accuracy while working within deadline-driven environments
Qualifications
Required
5+ years of billing experience
Legal billing experience strongly preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong Microsoft Office proficiency
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage high-volume workloads while maintaining accuracy
Proven customer service orientation and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
Experience with Aderant, Elite 3E, ProLaw, Intapp, SAP, Oracle, or comparable billing systems
Exposure to e-billing platforms and workflows
Experience supporting complex billing structures and multiple stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
