Job Summary

The CATAN Senior Brand Manager leads CATAN's brand strategy and portfolio planning for CATAN Studio for physical and digital products. This role defines positioning, portfolio architecture, and the strategic rationale for products that support long-term brand growth.

Working closely with CATAN's brand owners, the studio team and asmodee partners, the Sr. Brand Manager ensures that each product serves a clear consumer need and strengthens the overall CATAN portfolio.

What will your role involve

• Brand strategy and insights: Define priority audiences, positioning, messaging and opportunities using consumer research and market insights.
• Establish brand foundations: Define and maintain our vision, mission, values, position, territory, identity and overall brand framework.
• Consumer insights: Lead consumer research and translate market, category and community insights into recommendations that inform brand and product decisions.
• Product slots and rationale: Partner with studio leadership to identify roadmap opportunities based on consumer needs, portfolio gaps, price points and trends.
• Portfolio priorities: Recommend product and investment priorities to the Head of Studio, informed by commercial performance and development feasibility.
• Opportunity briefs: Develop clear opportunity briefs outlining consumer needs, market opportunities and business objectives to help guide Product Development.
• Competitive & Commercial Insights: Partner with Asmodees commercial and regional teams to evaluate market performance, competitive activity and growth opportunities that inform brand and portfolio strategy.
• Oversee digital games portfolio and strategy: Set strategic direction and portfolio priorities with external development and publishing partners, ensuring digital offerings complement the physical portfolio and support the overall brand strategy.
• Measure brand and portfolio health: Track awareness, consumer perceptions and portfolio performance.

What do you bring

Position Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in brand management, portfolio strategy, or product marketing within tabletop games, toys, entertainment, or related consumer businesses.
• Demonstrated ability to develop brand positioning, audience strategies and actionable brand plans.
• Experience defining portfolio architecture, identifying product opportunities and building clear consumer and business rationale for new products.
• Strong understanding of consumer research, category analysis and translating insights into decisions.
• Commercial awareness, including familiarity with pricing, product performance and portfolio tradeoffs.
• Ability to write clear strategic briefs and communicate recommendations to leadership and partners.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to establish alignment across Product, Marketing and external stakeholders.
• Experience working with licensed brands and international partners preferred.
• Familiarity with digital games and external publishing partnerships preferred.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
• 5-7 years of professional brand development experience
• Experience in the entertainment industry preferred.
• Experience in the game industry preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with a staff of creative professionals.
• CATAN knowledge highly preferred.

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, market conditions and specific work location. Base Salary Range: $120,000-$135,000.
