Job Summary

This role requires a highly independent Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in cross-functional and vendor data management, data modelling, AI and programming, presenting data insights to executives, and designing business intelligence visualizations. This cannot be someone needing direction at every step.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Modeling & Repository Management with AI

• Independently execute predictive, statistical, and probability models to quantify reputation drivers and headwinds, backed by centralized, always-on tracking of complex datasets on a dedicated server, and updated for operating reviews weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Executive Visualization & BI Builds

• Design, build, and maintain error-free, user-friendly, real-time BI dashboards to deliver always-on automated visual trends and insights.

C-Suite Delivery & Vendor Management

• Present actionable insights directly to the executive suite, answering real-time data questions with sharp attention to detail, critical thinking, and punctual execution; take ownership of vendor relations and proactively work with vendors to obtain, QA, and manage any data including .xls, APIs, RAGs, AI, and MCP feeds.

Develops Predictive Models and Scenarios

• Forecast and set targets for KPIs, developing and applying statistical forecasting models that connect vendors' data to reputation drivers, predicting impacts from headwinds and tailwinds on KPI trajectories weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly, giving leaders scenarios and options for decisions.

Creates Data Visualizations

• Build always-on, lean, executive-level, user-friendly Power BI and Copilot tools showing trends, forecasts, and insights for data-driven business decisions with LLM-generated takeaways and natural language search.
• Provide daily, weekly, or monthly deep-dive analytics as needed.

Updates Business Reporting

• Own benchmarking, monitoring, and optimization of enterprise reports.
• Deliver and where needed create weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports tracking shifts in KPI performance, flagging upcoming risks to business objectives, and analyzing complex datasets from brand and communications campaigns.

Runs Analytics Tech Stack

• Manage daily custom workflows and secure data connections following enterprise governance.
• Deploy advanced expertise in SQL, Python, R, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, Azure, and others including vendor APIs and MCPs to process structured and unstructured data (video, audio, text).

Automates Data Platforms

• Maintain a dedicated server daily to ingest, integrate, and interpret vendors' data feeds to centralize always-on tracking, with automated quality checks and built-in pipeline documentation.

Audits Dashboards, Reports, and AI Workflows for Accuracy

• Own, review, and validate all data streams, AI code, models, and business intelligence tools daily to ensure error-free executive outputs.

Owns Cross-Functional Collaborations

• Partner proactively across IT, Cyber Security, CX, external agency partners, and other teams on data analytics, applications, problem solving, value and customer journey mapping.
• Apply familiarity with utility frameworks and California's net-zero/decarbonization goals.

Thinks Critically and Communicates Strongly

• Serve as a strong, effective communicator with C-suite, able to develop and present actionable insights, answer questions in real time on data trends, headwinds, impacts, and more.
• Listen and understand what leaders ask to see, delivering as requested, punctually, and with sharp attention to detail.

Required Skills

• Independent building and execution of predictive, statistical, and probability models to quantify complex reputation drivers and headwinds
• Ingesting, integrating, and interpreting complex datasets and metrics on a dedicated server for centralized, always-on tracking (Repository Management)
• Designing, building, and maintaining error-free, executive-ready, user-friendly BI charts with real-time trends and insights
• Developing and presenting actionable insights to executives, answering real-time analytics questions, thinking critically, delivering punctually, with sharp attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, and Azure
• Experience with vendor APIs and MCP feeds for data ingestion and management
• Cross-functional and vendor data management
• AI and programming experience (including LLMs, RAGs, AI code auditing)
• Data modelling expertise
• Experience presenting data insights to executive/C-suite audiences
• Designing and maintaining business intelligence visualizations
