Senior Business Analyst

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner to lead requirements management, process analysis, product backlog ownership, and solution design activities for enterprise Finance and Accounting platforms. The role will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving modernization initiatives, workflow improvements, process automation, and digital transformation programs.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in business analysis, product ownership, financial systems, process reengineering, Agile delivery, stakeholder management, and solution lifecycle support. The role requires the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions while ensuring successful implementation and business adoption.

Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, business processes, and operational requirements.
• Lead requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, validation, and prioritization activities.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, design sprints, and stakeholder alignment meetings.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items.
• Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivery objectives.
• Analyze current-state and future-state processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
• Support solution design, process reengineering, workflow modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, and business users throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support testing, user acceptance activities, deployment readiness, and post-production stabilization efforts.
• Prepare business cases, process documentation, workflow diagrams, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
• Track requirements, decisions, dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Provide training, knowledge transfer, and business adoption support as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst and/or Product Owner within enterprise environments.
• Strong experience gathering business requirements and developing functional specifications.
• Proven experience managing product backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and Agile delivery processes.
• Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, Financial Operations, or Enterprise Business Systems.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and hybrid delivery models.
• Experience conducting business process analysis, gap assessments, workflow optimization, and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience supporting testing activities including SIT, UAT, defect management, and business validation.
• Ability to develop business cases, process models, workflow diagrams, and operational documentation.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Visio, PowerPoint, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Investment, Lending, or Financial Operations platforms.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting processes, and operational controls.
• Experience with business process modeling methodologies such as BPMN.
• Exposure to workflow automation, AI-enabled business processes, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, reporting, analytics, and dashboard solutions.
• Experience supporting large-scale modernization and process reengineering programs.
• Knowledge of cloud-based enterprise platforms and integrated business applications.
