Job Overview

Sigma Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to support our client in Irving, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BI professional with strong expertise in SQL, ETL, data modeling, data warehousing, Power BI, OBIEE, and OAC.

The Senior BI Developer will lead complex business intelligence initiatives, develop scalable data solutions, optimize data pipelines, build dashboards, and work closely with business stakeholders to turn analytical requirements into actionable BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and optimization of Business Intelligence solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable BI solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Design complex data models, reporting structures, and dimensional schemas.
• Build real-time dashboards to monitor KPIs and operational performance.
• Write, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL and PL/SQL scripts.
• Design and develop ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Work with business stakeholders to gather analytical requirements and translate them into technical BI solutions.
• Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
• Work with large-scale datasets and multiple data sources.
• Support data transformation, staging, cleansing, and integration processes.
• Ensure BI solutions follow best practices for data governance, quality, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex BI, reporting, and data-related issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior BI developers.
• Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging BI technologies, data analytics practices, and methodologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Approximately 8 years of IT experience, with a strong focus on Business Intelligence, data modeling, and analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with ETL design and development using SSIS, Talend, or similar tools.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, including query and performance optimization.
• Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI, OBIEE, and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, including OLTP/OLAP architectures and dimensional modeling.
• Hands-on experience with data transformation, staging, cleansing, and integration.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum.
• Experience working with large datasets and diverse data sources.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
