Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will develop, implement, and maintain data models, reporting structures, and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role will focus on enhancing business intelligence capabilities, creating insightful reports and dashboards, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders to drive actionable insights and optimize performance. The Senior BI Engineer will ensure that data is presented in a clear and efficient manner to support the strategic goals of the organization.

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Primary Tasks:

• Design and implement data models that provide a robust foundation for business intelligence reporting and analysis.
• Develop data structures that enable the efficient querying and aggregation of large datasets, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Build and maintain interactive, user-friendly reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide actionable insights for business leaders.
• Translate business requirements into analytical models, ensuring the delivered solutions align with organizational objectives.
• Ensure that data used for reporting and analysis is accurate, consistent, and meets organizational standards for quality.
• Continuously evaluate and improve data models, reporting processes, and analytics workflows to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the business.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence to enhance the organization's analytics capabilities.
• Automate repetitive reporting tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Ensure that business users are empowered to make data-driven decisions by providing clear guidance and resources.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor''s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Demonstrable ability to quickly understand new concepts and to come out with original solutions to complex issues

• Experience using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to create standard dashboards and reports.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.

• General knowledge of industry or business operations relevant to the role.

• One (1) year of experience with T-SQL.

• One (1) year of experience with Power BI
