Ready to Make an Impact?On behalf of a client in the engineering sector, we are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to serve as a technical leader on water, wastewater, stormwater and drainage, and roadway infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on design role for an experienced professional engineer who wants to stay close to the technical work – leading the engineering behind the projects, setting the design approach, solving complex technical problems, and making sure the final product is sound, buildable, and built to last – rather than focusing on program and project management.
The Work You Can Do:As a senior civil engineer, you'll be a go-to technical resource within a collaborative team of engineers, designers, and project managers, guiding municipal infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
Your Work May Include:- Leading the design and analysis of water distribution, sanitary sewer, stormwater, drainage, and roadway infrastructure
- Performing and overseeing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and modeling
- Preparing, reviewing, and sealing engineering calculations, plans, specifications, technical reports, and construction cost estimates
- Developing and directing the development of construction plans and design documents in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software
- Serving as the technical authority on quality-control reviews of calculations, plans, and deliverables
- Evaluating existing plans, survey data, utility information, and record drawings to inform design decisions
- Leading the technical development of local, state, and federal permit applications and coordinating with regulatory agencies
- Conducting site visits and field investigations to assess existing conditions
- Providing engineering support during construction, including submittal reviews, RFI responses, site observations, and resolution of field issues
- Providing technical input on project scopes, schedules, and fee estimates
- Mentoring and developing engineer interns, junior engineers, and designers

What You'll Bring to Their Team:- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited program
- An active Professional Engineer (PE) license, with Louisiana registration or the ability to obtain it through comity
- 8 or more years of civil engineering design experience
- Demonstrated experience designing water, wastewater, stormwater/drainage, and roadway projects for municipal or public clients
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software
- Thorough knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal design standards and regulatory requirements
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
- Experience in water, sewer, and drainage design is strongly preferred
