Oxford Solutions is working with a client to hire a Senior Civil Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with a flexible hybrid schedule. This role supports power generation projects and is ideal for a licensed engineer with strong experience in environmental compliance, water resources, and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
Lead civil engineering efforts for power generation and infrastructure projects, including site development, water resources, and wastewater systems
Manage and mentor a team of entry to mid-level engineers, technical specialists, and EITs
Oversee environmental compliance initiatives, including NPDES permitting, regulatory interpretation, and permit strategy development
Manage multi-disciplinary projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and client communication
Direct design and preparation of civil/site deliverables such as grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management plans, utility layouts, and access road designs
Develop hydrology and hydraulic reports and support permitting efforts
Oversee preparation of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates
Support water and wastewater system design including collection, conveyance, treatment, pumping, and storage
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s degree a plus)
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
5+ years of project management experience within civil or environmental engineering
Strong knowledge of NPDES regulations and environmental compliance requirements
Experience supporting industrial or power-related projects preferred
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and plan production
Familiarity with GIS tools such as ArcGIS is a plus
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead teams and interact with clients
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
