Senior Civil Engineer

Oxford Solutions is working with an engineering consulting firm seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer for a direct hire opportunity. This role will focus on land development, stormwater management, hydrology, and site design projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and the ability to provide engineering guidance throughout project development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support civil engineering design for land development and site development projects.
• Prepare and review site plans, grading plans, drainage designs, and subdivision plans.
• Perform hydrology, hydraulic, and stormwater management calculations.
• Develop erosion and sediment control plans and post-construction stormwater management designs.
• Design stormwater best management practices (BMPs) and drainage systems.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop surfaces, grading plans, profiles, cross-sections, pipe networks, and corridors.
• Provide technical guidance and review engineering drawings and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on project coordination, client communication, and proposal development.
• Ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10-15 years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on land development and site design.
• Strong experience in hydrology, hydraulics, drainage design, and stormwater management.
• Experience developing erosion and sediment control plans and stormwater BMP designs.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading, surfaces, profiles, and pipe networks.
• Ability to manage technical design responsibilities and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
