Description

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Linux Administrator with extensive experience in cloud computing, Linux administration, and workload migration. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure IaaS, RedHat Linux, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and DevOps tools, along with a deep understanding of Linux security best practices and automation scripting.
  • This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure secure, scalable, and efficient cloud infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and optimize Linux-based cloud environments, primarily RedHat Linux in Azure IaaS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives, ensuring seamless transition of workloads to Azure and OCI.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Shell, Python, Perl, etc.) for system provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Implement and enforce Linux security best practices, including system hardening, encryption, and secure network communications.
  • Manage DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Terraform, Docker) to streamline deployments.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud and Linux infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, compliance standards, and emerging cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance cloud infrastructure and automation.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud computing and Linux administration.
  • 4-7 years of hands-on experience with RedHat Linux.
  • Strong expertise in Azure IaaS (Linux environments) and workload migration to the cloud.
  • Proficiency in Linux scripting (Shell, Python, Perl, etc.) for automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Terraform, Docker).
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Professional
    • Linux Administration certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE)
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, encryption, and secure networking.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure + OCI).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, etc.).
