Location: Indianapolis, IN
Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a Senior Field Service Engineer direct hire position in Indianapolis, IN.
Responsibilities:- Review installation requirements with customers prior to machine shipment to ensure site readiness and compliance.
- Oversee on-site installation and assembly of new machines at customer facilities.
- Inspect, adjust, start up, and demonstrate newly installed equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Train customer personnel on safe setup, operation, controls, and routine maintenance.
- Independently diagnose, repair, and service equipment on-site and remotely with minimal supervision.
- Provide technical support via phone and email when not traveling.
- Deliver warranty and non-warranty service, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer training.
- Recommend parts, accessories, and services to support safe and efficient equipment operation.
- Conduct regular customer visits to observe machine performance, identify service needs, and build key service relationships.
- Document service activities, expenses, and technical reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Escalate non-standard requirements, safety concerns, or customer dissatisfaction to management as needed.
- Travel is primarily pre-scheduled, with occasional emergency service calls.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 5+ years of field service experience supporting CNC machines or similar equipment.
- Strong understanding of CNC machine assembly, teardown, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to guide customers through technical issues in person or remotely.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50-75%.
TERMS: This is a direct hire position that pays from $70,000 - $90,000/yr.
