Senior Communications Coordinator - Content

Gunderson Dettmer, the leading law firm serving the innovation economy, is seeking a Senior Communications Coordinator – Content to join our firm-wide Communications team.

The Sr. Communications Coordinator supports the firm’s content strategy by executing day-to-day production, coordination, and management of content efforts across channels. Working under the direction of the Senior Manager of Community Engagement, this role will help build and maintain content libraries, editorial calendars, and content workflows so the firm’s expertise reaches audiences in a cohesive, high-quality, and consistent way. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role ideal for a rising professional who wants to grow within a sophisticated legal content function.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the editing and formatting of content for web, thought leadership, client communications, and select internal communications, following established messaging and brand standards.
• Help build and maintain continent libraries (SharePoint Online) as the central source of truth for approved messaging, templates, and assets.
• Manage and maintain pitch content and materials, collaborating with subject matter experts as needed to ensure content is up-to-date and accurate.
• Manage routine content updates across document libraries, including metadata, permissions, and archiving of outdated materials.
• Collaborate across teams and departments to ensure content is current and adheres to brand standards.
• Apply consistent formatting and taxonomy standards so content stays accurate, current, and aligned to brand.
• Support content distribution by collaborating with creative, marketing, and social media teams.
• Help maintain the Revenue department’s AI hub, including prompt library and best practices.
• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and special projects across departments as needed.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5 years+ of marketing, communications, or content experience within the legal, professional services, or venture capital environment.
• Exceptional written, editing, and proofreading skills, with an eye for clarity and brand consistency.
• Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and contributors while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to support project management by tracking tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail throughout a project.
• Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to effectively engage with internal peers, stakeholders, clients, and external partners.
• Creative thinker who proactively drives innovative marketing strategies and initiatives.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and autonomously, applying sound judgment and discretion.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills; able to maintain regular dialogue and foster collaborative, long-term partnerships.
• Detail oriented with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel,), SharePoint Online, and comfortable using AI tools for content workflows.

The annualized base salary range for this position is expected to be $80,000.00 - $90,000.00. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives for which this position is eligible.
