Senior Construction Estimator

SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR(Permanent)
Our client, an established and well-known construction firm in WNY, is looking to hire a Senior Construction Estimator to join their growing team.  This is a great opportunity to join a very successful organization.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate/competitive estimates are developed and submitted
  
• Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, geotechnical data, etc. gathering necessary information to create bids
  
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure labor and supply costs are current
  
• Participate in pre-project meetings, site visits, etc. prior to bid submission in order to gather all pertinent information—noting site conditions, logistics, and equipment/material required
  
• Take a proactive approach to completing special projects in a timely manner and ahead of deadlines
  
• Collaborate with internal team members to develop successful bid strategies, discuss project planning, and conduct risk management assessments
  
• Maintain organized records and templates
  
• Remain up to date on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance is maintained at all times
  
• Work well in a team environment, as well as independently
  
• Other duties as assigned/as necessary
  

Details:

• Position is full-time, direct hire
  
• 100% in-office/on-site
  
• $75,000 - $135,000 annually depending on experience, bonus potential
  
• Full health coverage for individuals, employer-subsidized family plans, PTO (relaxed policy)
  
• Engineering degree is a plus, but not required
  
• 5+ years' experience in estimating experience in civil construction
  
• Knowledge of driven piles, caissons, auger cast piles, sheet piling, ground improvements, etc. is preferred
  
• Proficient computer skills, specifically Excel & various estimating software
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills
  
• Strong communication and presentation skills
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
• Self-motivated and able to work well independently while contributing collaboratively within a team environment
  
• Ability to travel within NYA for site assessments
  
• Relocation not available
