Senior Construction Estimator
Job Type: Full-Time (Exempt)
Salary: $110,000 - $175,000
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Office: Burnt Hills NY or Springfield MA
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates from construction drawings and specs
- Perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and estimate development
- Assemble and submit bids (GMP, Cost Plus, etc.)
- Communicate scopes, bids, and project details to clients and teams
- Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and consultants
- Analyze and level subcontractor proposals against scope requirements
- Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce costs
- Ensure complete scope coverage and eliminate gaps/overlaps
- Support post-bid activities and finalize subcontract scopes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree + 2+ years' estimating experience (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of construction documents and project scopes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage complex tasks
- Physical ability to perform job duties (including occasional lifting up to 25 lbs)
- Must have federal contract experience.
